I still come here about every day to check my messages and journals. No camera, so I don't submit anymore. Until I get another one. lol

Just noticed I've not updated my journal in over 9 months, so I thought I'd say hi.

Got promoted at work (sorta - they canned my position and made it into a new one). I'm now Store Team Leader for a Walgreens store. I was SIMS (Strategic Inventory Management Systems) Coordinator. Basically, Inventory Manager. My new position is a hybrid of my SIMS and an Assistant Manager position. So, I have a set of keys and will be doing returns, exchanges, getting change and closing/opening once a week. I'm still doing all the stuff of my old job too.

However, I hope I'm not working for Walgreens much longer. I'm not going to lie, Walgreens is a great company, but I just hate retail. I've been working there for just over 2 yrs and 2 months. No way I'm going to make 3.

Mayor Coleman submitted in his 2010 budget a proposal to hire 50 new Police Officers. So - I put in my info and submitted a job interest card about the position. Hopefully I can make it into the Academy and become a police officer. If I get in, I'm also going to sign up for the Air Force Reserves after my roomie's wedding in June. If I don't get into the Academy, I'm going to just straight up enlist in the Air Force Active Duty.

Main reason for the Air Force is I want to finish my degree - and I need money for school. Plus, I've always wanted to join, just never got around to it due to life.
